There’s nothing better on the first day of University than receiving shiny new equipment, wanting to unpack it and getting started on your course. This opportunity is what awaits the students at The University of Nottingham, who this year will be starting a new course in the Faculty of Engineering. The course, Foundation Engineering and Physical Sciences, provides students with an entry route into further engineering, computer science, physics and mathematics undergraduate degree programmes at The University of Nottingham.
Just recently Pico Technology, along with our distributor TTid, has delivered over 350 DrDAQ data loggers and over 50 PicoScope 2208Bs for the students starting this new course. The DrDAQ is a versatile instrument that connects to the USB port of any PC. It is supplied with our PicoScope software, which turns the DrDAQ into an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer and a signal generator. This provides a great starter kit for any student learning about engineering and physical science. The Univerty of Nottingham chose the DrDAQ and PicoScope 2000 as they are portable, offer great value for money, and have an interface that offers ongoing software updates with UK technical support and training via TTid and Pico Technology.
Our small, lightweight PicoScope 2208B USB oscilloscope offers higher bandwidths and memory, allowing the students to take their coursework one step further. It’s great for carrying out advanced analysis of any waveforms.
