The new DeepMeasure feature in the PicoScope software from Pico Technology enables automatic measurement of waveform parameters on up to 1 million successive waveform cycles.
Furnished as standard with PicoScope 3000, 4000, 5000, and 6000 Series oscilloscopes, this analysis and search tool returns a table of results that includes every waveform cycle captured in the scope’s memory. Ten waveform parameters are included in the first version of the tool and over a million results can be collected for each parameter.

As electronic devices become more complex, design engineering teams need better tools to analyze waveform data and measurement statistics. Oscilloscopes with deep capture memory, such as the PicoScope 3000 Series (up to 512 MSamples) and 6000 Series (up to 2 GSamples) can capture waveforms with thousands of waveform cycles, at full sampling speed with each triggered acquisition.
“We are honored that DeepMeasure has been recognized for the help that it delivers to engineers who are debugging complex systems, and for scientists who are performing sophisticated research experiments,” said Trevor Smith, Business Development Manager at Pico.
“With over 25 years’ experience building PC-based instruments we’ve added DeepMeasure to our popular 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 Series PicoScopes. Any customer who already has one of these USB-connected instruments can download the latest beta version of the software free of charge and take advantage of the DeepMeasure tool.
“It’s an example of the commitment that we make to our customers, past and present, and underlines our position as the leading supplier of USB-based test instruments.”
